Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment and conformance target

Ardit Tashi wants Meet Me Gently to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology used to browse it. Our conformance target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act, most national accessibility laws, and general good practice.

We do not currently claim full conformance. This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA — some content does not yet fully conform, for the reasons set out below. We are working toward closing those gaps.

2. Scope

This statement covers the meet-me-gently website, including its marketing pages, category pages, sampler, and the digital deck previews shown on-screen. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, or the checkout itself, which is operated by Stripe.

The printed card deck is a physical product with its own constraints — card stock, print size, and typography chosen for a tactile game experience — and those constraints do not always map onto on-screen accessibility guidance. If the printed card size or contrast does not work for you, a plain-text or large-print version of the full card list is available on request at no charge; see the feedback section below.

3. What we have done

Concretely, the site currently:

• Uses semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure throughout.
• Provides a visible skip link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
• Supports keyboard-only operation of all navigation and interactive controls, with visible focus states.
• Targets accessible colour-contrast ratios across text and interface elements.
• Respects the operating-system prefers-reduced-motion setting, reducing or removing decorative animation for people who have asked for it.
• Uses a responsive layout that reflows and remains usable when zoomed to 400%, without loss of content or function.
• Avoids flashing content of any kind.
• Provides text alternatives for meaningful imagery.
• Labels form controls so they are announced correctly by assistive technology.
• Never relies on colour alone to carry meaning — status, category, and emphasis are always also conveyed in text.

4. Known limitations

We would rather tell you plainly what is not yet right than claim a conformance we have not verified. As of this statement:

• Some decorative 3-D card and box animations are visual-only and convey no information, but may still be distracting for some visitors — this is mitigated by honouring reduced-motion preferences, though the animation is not yet fully removable independently of that system setting.
• Some colour pairings in the darker After Dark sections are still being verified against WCAG AA contrast ratios and may not yet pass in every combination.
• Downloadable PDFs (deck previews and print files) are not yet fully tagged for screen-reader use.
• The third-party checkout, operated by Stripe, is outside our direct control. Stripe publishes its own accessibility information, which applies to that part of the purchase flow.
• Some card artwork carries meaning primarily through decorative illustration; the substantive meaning of every card is always also available as plain text, so no card's function depends on interpreting the artwork.

5. Assessment approach

This statement is based on a self-evaluation carried out on [ASSESSMENT DATE], and is reviewed Annually, and after any significant change to the site. No independent third-party accessibility audit has been commissioned yet. We recommend commissioning one before public launch, and updating this statement with its findings.

7. Enforcement & escalation

In the European Union, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) has applied to relevant e-commerce services since 28 June 2025. Each EU member state has designated its own national market surveillance and enforcement body for complaints that cannot be resolved directly with us; the seller should identify and list the relevant body for their country here.

In the United States, commercial websites are generally expected to meet accessibility standards consistent with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); where a buyer is a US public-sector entity, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act may also apply to procurement.

In the United Kingdom, the Equality Act 2010 places a duty on service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled users.
