Comparisons · checked August 2026
How we compare, including where we lose.
We are a new deck with no customers yet, which means the only honest way to write these pages is to say plainly what the other decks do better — and there is something on every one of these pages that they do better. If you read one and decide to buy theirs instead, the page did its job.
Comparisons
-
vs We’re Not Really Strangers
Three escalating levels for people who don’t know each other yet, against four paths for people who already do. The best-known deck in the category.
-
vs the BestSelf Intimacy Deck
170 questions and a nudge to be vulnerable anyway, against 108 and a printed exit. A straight trade of volume for permission.
-
vs BETTER TOGETHER
The closest deck to ours. They ship Pass, Switch and Reverse control cards; we print four exits on every card instead. Worth reading if consent design is why you’re here.
How we write these
The rules we hold ourselves to.
- Every factual claim about another deck comes from that company’s own product page or retail listing, and is dated. Products change — check the current edition.
- Every page names at least one thing the other deck does better, because on a three-way comparison there always is one.
- We do not claim to have invented letting people skip a question. Several decks already allow it. What we claim is narrower and checkable: four exits printed on the face of every card, that cannot be spent or forgotten.
- No invented statistics, no purchased reviews, no fake urgency. We have no customer reviews to show you yet, and we are not going to manufacture any.
Meet Me Gently is attachment-informed, not therapy, and not a diagnostic tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the products compared here. All trade marks belong to their owners.

Thirty real cards, free.
The deck goes on sale 1 October 2026. Until then the sampler is the honest version of a sales page — the actual prompts, not rewritten highlights.
